FILTER BAGS
Bag filters serve the purpose of effectively eliminating relatively small particles from fluids that require clarification or filtration. As the fluid suspension flows through, the particles settle within the bag. In most instances, bag filters are utilized alongside a supporting vessel for optimal performance.
These filters are typically constructed using needle-punched nonwovens and function as depth filters. The size of the pores within the bag can vary between 70% and 90%. Generally, filter bags are stitched along the edges to ensure structural integrity.
The use of bag filters includes a wide range of liquid filtration applications, such as bulk chemicals, coolants, cleaners, paints, varnishes, waxes, and plastics.
Advantages:
High Performance: Bag filters offer efficient particle removal, ensuring effective clarification and filtration of fluids.
High Flow Rates: Bag filters facilitate high flow rates, allowing for faster filtration processes.
Low Pressure Drop: Bag filters have a minimal pressure drop, resulting in less energy consumption during filtration.
Broad Chemical Compatibility: Bag filters are compatible with a wide range of chemicals, making them versatile for various filtration applications.
Positive Sealing Arrangement with Choice of Materials: Bag filters provide a positive sealing arrangement, and they offer options for different sealing materials, ensuring a secure and effective filtration process.
High Dirt Holding Capacity: Bag filters have a large dirt holding capacity, allowing for extended operation before requiring replacement or cleaning.
High Temperature Resistance: Bag filters can withstand high temperatures, making them suitable for filtration processes involving hot fluids.
